Privacy Policy.
Which cookies and local storage the website rmbadvogados.pt uses, what they are for, and how the user can manage them.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that websites store on a user's device to retain preferences, enable basic features and collect statistical information. In addition to traditional HTTP cookies, rmbadvogados.pt also uses local storage (localStorage), which serves the same purpose and is treated with the same care.
Categories of cookies
This website distinguishes between strictly necessary, functional and analytical cookies. Only the first are used without prior consent, as they are essential for the site to work.
Strictly necessary cookies
Used to preserve the user's interface choices (visual theme and language) and to allow offline loading via the service worker. Keys used: rmb-theme (visual theme preference, local storage), rmb-lang (language preference, local storage), service worker cache (application storage for offline use).
Functional cookies
The website currently does not use any additional functional cookies beyond those indicated above.
Measurement and advertising cookies
Following the user's express consent (cookie banner), the website loads:
Meta Pixel from Meta Platforms Ireland, Limited. This service sets its own cookies (_fbp, _fbc, among others) that allow us to measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns on Facebook and Instagram and to show relevant ads on the Meta platform. The retention period of these cookies is, as a rule, up to 90 days.
Google Analytics 4 from Google Ireland Limited. This service sets its own cookies (_ga, _ga_<ID>) to measure aggregated traffic and user behaviour on the website. The user's IP is anonymised and the sharing of advertising signals with Google is disabled by default. The retention period of these cookies is 2 years.
If the user chooses "Essentials only" in the banner, neither the Meta Pixel nor Google Analytics is loaded and no data is transmitted to these platforms.
Third-party services
Typographic fonts are loaded from bunny.net, an EU-based CDN service compliant with the GDPR, which does not set cookies or record personal data beyond the IP address needed for transmission. On the Contact page, and only after consent, an interactive Google Maps view (Google Ireland Limited) may be loaded, which involves Google's own cookies. Users can manage their choices at any time by clearing browser cookies or reopening the consent banner.
Managing cookies in the browser
Users can at any time delete cookies and local storage through their browser settings (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge). Refusing strictly necessary cookies may affect the user experience but does not prevent access to the public content of the website.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be revised at any time. The version in force is always available on this page. For any question concerning cookie use and data protection, contact us at rmb@rmbadvogados.pt. See also our Privacy Policy.
